StokeRetail Warehouse Refurbishment
Acting
for ING UK Property Income Fund and MFI Properties Ltd,
Redbourn were appointed as development partner for the refurbishment and
reconfiguration of this first generation retail warehouse located at a key
interchange between the A53, linking Stoke and Newcastle, with the A500
(By-pass). Planning
permission was obtained for an extension to the amount of floor space to be used
for retail purposes (to 28,000 sqft), together with major elevational
enhancements to the units external appearance and a re-configuration of the car
park and access arrangements in order to create a two unit scheme. On
completion, the two units will be occupied by MFI and Carpetright. Work commenced on site on the 21 July 2003 and was completed 10 December of the same year.
