Retail Warehouse Development

Having identified an opportunity for the relocation of two poorly sited edge of City Centre Retail Warehouses, Redbourn negotiated with Exeter City Council for their relocation to an out of town site at Moor Lane, Sowton.

Having secured the support of the City Council, following prolonged negotiations, and sought agreement from the Secretary of State for the discontinuance of the existing retail consents, planning permission was granted for the development of 30,000 sq ft of retail floor space in two units.

Completed in September 1999, the scheme was purchased by Clerical Medical and the two units are now occupied by MFI (UK) Ltd and Furniture Village Plc.
