The company was established in 1988 by Edward Lea and Malcolm Shaw, who are Non-Executive Chairman and Managing Director respectively. They had previously worked together at Board level in ASDA, MFI and Gazeley Properties and have a long-standing track record in commercial development. Over the years since the Group was founded, other key executives from the retail and property industries have joined the management team. Redbourn has completed a large number of high quality projects throughout the UK, principally retail, industrial, commercial and office schemes. All of these projects have been developed to meet the high standards needed for fast track schemes, managing and coordinating effectively all facets of the pre-development and construction processes. All schemes have been completed to full institutional standards to enable the realisation of the very considerable added value created by virtue of the developments. The group has a strong client base for whom it carries out a wide variety of development and project management roles. Redbourn's primary strengths lie in its knowledge and understanding of the development process and its ability to identify and successfully undertake development opportunities within this sector.
