Retail Warehouse Development

Redbourn first became involved with this particular site, located on Hull Road, in 1998. Planning permission was originally granted for a Retail Warehouse scheme of 100,000 sq ft but this was subsequently amended to include ancillary Garden Centre and Builders' Yards.

The works included:

1.    Complex negotiations with York City Council to secure the relevant planning consent and associated agreements.

2.    Demolition and subsequent relocation of the previous occupier.

3.    Extensive surface water attenuation design (storage cells).

4.    Extensive Section 278 Highway works.

The site was pre-let to B&Q and sold to the Prudential.
